Movies keep two of our five senses occupied and need lesser time to get the point across. 

You are going to need a daily dose of inspiration to help you overcome all of the obstacles in life. And most often, it just gets so hard to even finish off a single day. That’s when you need motivation. Movies have been, and still are, a source of inspiration for many of us.

Yes, it is spelled like that.

This is one of my all favorite motivational movies, and one of the best movies ever on never giving up.

The Pursuit of Happyness is certainly a movie you do not want to miss. It is based on the story of Chris Gardner, a man who loses everything, but eventually gets everything. In the movie, he is a hard-working, caring and loving father, who struggles financially to provide for his wife and son. His wife leaves him and fate takes him to a lifestyle he had never thought of. This movie teaches us how to fight strongly with struggles of life.

The movie shows a powerful, yet simple message:

  • Never give up.

2. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

This movie is one of IMDB’s all-time top 10 movies.

Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to life imprisonment at the Shawshank prison. However, only Andy knows he didn’t commit the crimes. At Shawshank prison, Andy Dufresne forms a friendship with Red (Morgan Freeman), experiences brutality of prison life, adapts, helps the warden, etc., all in 19 years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency. 

The last two words of the movie. The famous side of dialogue — “Get busy living or get busy dying” — speaks to hope, the former forsaking it, the latter clinging close to it.

3. Forrest Gump (1994)

“Forrest Gump” is one of the best motivational movies of all time, guaranteed. I really love this movie and it has such a special place in my heart.

Forrest Gump is a beautiful story about a simple man with good intentions, who accidentally becomes a phenomenal success just by living his the life he feels is right. 

It is of the best inspirational movie I have ever watched. The story revolves around the simple nature of Forrest (Tom Hanks) and how he proves that you don’t have to be a genius to achieve something in life. All you need to do is try.

My favorite quote from the movie:

4.  The Social Network (2010)

 ” The high point of The Social Network is its super screenplay where every dialogue becomes a quotable quote.”

The Social Network was a Hollywood blockbuster Movie with a source of inspiration for all of us. It was based on the Mark Zuckerberg and his startup – Facebook.

The Social Network remains a top choice for motivational dose because of its awesome storytelling and brilliant background score. This is the best movie on learning how to achieve your dreams and turn them into reality.

I have seen “The Social Network” twice and plan on seeing it again. It is one of the best-recommended entrepreneur movies that every person with an entrepreneur mind must watch.

5. 3 Idiots

This is one of best Motivational Bollywood Movies ever made starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani. This movie reveals the harsh reality of our educational system.

One greatest quote from this movie “Don’t go beyond the success go beyond excellence, success will definitely come behind you“.

This is one of the most awesome movies about our passions and finding a goal in life.

3 Idiots is a story of 3 guys who wanted to do something else and joined engineering stream because of parents pressure but at the final stage of engineering many incidents happened which make them realize the truth of life and they finally they start doing something, they wanted to do from start. This is a must watch movie to chase your dreams and finding your real passion.

6. Rocky (1976)

Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer, gets a chance to fight heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. In a bid to earn respect and glory, Rocky jumps into the ring, unaware of the tough task ahead of him.

This inspirational movie teaches a lot about the competitive spirit and will inspire you to get up and beat your competition. Rocky makes you believe no matter how difficult life gets you to fight and never give up. This movie touches you and inspires you to do things that you might have never taken a chance on.

This is one of the best motivational movies that everybody should watch in generations to come!! Best Movie ever !!

7. 127 Hours (2010)

127 Hours is a British American biographical film belonging to the survival drama genre. Aron Ralston, a mountain climber, is on a hiking adventure in Utah when he gets trapped in a canyon. Soon, he takes desperate measures to survive and struggles for 127 hours before he is rescued.

This movie teaches us to live life happily no matter how hard it is. An awesome movie which shows that nothing should ever be taken for granted. Appreciate what you receive and cherish. Don’t leave the ones you love, you may end up lonely and that loneliness can kill you.

The best inspiring moment in this movie is the clip which depicts Aron Ralston using force and extreme willpower to break his own arm.  It is a display of what we are capable of if only we show the courage to go ahead with it.

8. The Aviator (2004)

Hughes, a successful film director, turns to his passion for building aircraft, gaining powerful enemies along the way. However, he is undeterred and overcomes obstacles in life to realize his goals.

IMDb Rating:- 7.5/10

Well, it’s DiCaprio and He is always at his best in acting. Everyone knows him and nothing much to say. Stellar performance is what Leo will define you after watching this movie.

This movie is truly a masterpiece beautifully which depicts the life and achievements of Howard Hughes, the aviation pioneer, from 1920-1947 when he shot to fame as the wealthiest man.

The Aviator is a beautiful representation of how one can and should live their dreams. It reveals the risks associated with living a life without limits but it also shows the strength of character that is required to live such a life.

9. Good Will Hunting (1997)

Will Hunting, a genius in mathematics, solves all the complex mathematical problems. When he faces an emotional crisis, he takes help from psychiatrist Dr. Sean Maguireto, who helps him recover.

IMDb Rating:- 8.3/10

This movie is one of the best inspiring and motivational movies I’ve had ever watched in my life. It’s a story of ignorance; escaping from one’s own self; carelessness about a young man until he meets with a psychiatrist.

It’s really a ‘must watch’ movie, although it takes a lot of time to understand things going on in the movie but the movie teaches a lot of life’s values.

10. Into the Wild (2007)

After graduating from Emory University, Christopher McCandless abandons his possessions, gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters that shape his life.

IMDb Rating:- 8.1/10

Into the Wild is an inspiring story of choosing an alternate life path in today’s competitive world makes Into The Wild an unconventional treat. One of my favorite quote from this movie is:-

“When you want something in Life, You Just Gotta Reach out and Grab it”
